Established in August 2010, young&restless is a womenswear line designed by Ashburn Eng. young&restless is made for the free-spirited, confident and unpretentious woman, who is sophisticated yet, bold enough to daydream. She is forever young and down-right restless. Within its first year, young&restless has successfully produced four seasonal collections and two diffusion collections.

young&restless has since garnered much publicity and positive reviews from both local and international media, having been featured in major publications like Alexis, Amica, CATALOG, Cleo, DEW, Designaré, Elle, ELLE.com, FASHIONTREND Australia, Faint, Female, Glamcult, HANGER, Her World, Herworld.com, I-S, JUICE, LÓfficiel, MODE, OXYGEN, NÜYOU, STATUS, Style:, Seventeen, Post Magazine (South China Morning Post), Surface Asia, TODAY and Urban (The Straits Times) newspapers. In addition, many art/design sites and blogs from several countries like Australia, China, Hongkong, Italy, London, Malaysia, Russia, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and United States have featured rave reviews and coverage towards the label and its collections as well.

On top of the relentless support from the media, young&restless designs were also selected by Critica film to be worn on Mediacorp artistes, Rui En and Yvonne Lim, who were featured in the Mediacorp channel 8 rebranding campaign 2011. In addition, young&restless was commissioned to design a bespoke outfit for Jesseca Liu, who was one of the award presenters at the 17th Singapore Hit Awards held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 12 November 2011. Our designs have been seen on celebrities such as Pan Ling Ling, Huang Bi Ren, Dawn Yeo and Tracy Lee for various prestigious events.

young&restless is honoured to be the only Asian representative among all designer labels to present its collection at the spectacular 30th edition of Modefabriek's NEXT AND CUTTING EDGE Designer Platform in Amsterdam; as well as BLUEPRINT, Asia's only international fashion trade platform held at the Marina Bay Sands Singapore in the first half of 2011.

young&restless is also proud to have been part of the 20th edition of MARGIN LONDON, where our collections were presented to the UK & international fashion trade and press. MARGIN LONDON is a long-standing Fashion Exhibition in London that has been running since August 2002. It is also a must-visit international trade show for directional independent boutiques, multiples & department stores across the UK, Europe and Japan looking to source pure design talent outside of the mainstream.





Having achieved much success as a fashion stylist and creative director of Test Shoot Gallery, Ashburn Eng's works received due recognition when he was the recipient of two top prizes at the Iconique Societas Awards in 2009 for Best Fashion Stylist and Overall Winner.

Ashburn never fails to offer spot-on advice to the designers he has worked with. Throughout the many years of his styling career, these designers have greatly benefitted from his knowledge of clothing presentation and corrections. This, in return, sparked the idea of him creating his own line of designs.

Ashburn's design process is an intimate transition; an extension of his day dream, fantasy and personal life experience. His anti-fashion approach ignores the dictation of seasons, looks beyond trends and shuns the idea that fashion has to be "cohesive" or "sensible". Rather than worrying about creating the next best-selling designs, he believes that every garment has to last for more than a single season. He envisions the young&restless wearer in garments constructed with unique characters. For every season, each set of designs is largely based on a developed story and his 'DNA', which helps to counter the harsh reality of fast-moving fashion trends every 6 months.





young&restless owns a brand synonymous of experimental ideas and non-conformist attitudes while communicating a sense of underground luxury with distinctive urban aesthetics and penchant for geometric design. Though its designs are originally drafted, cut and sewn to fit women, it's a pleasant surprise to learn that 5% of young&restless clients are made up of men; willing to experiment with clothes that make them feel empowered and boost their confidence. The core of the client base is from 21 to 40 years old, of which 40% is made up of professionals from various fields; the remaining group is divided among expatriates, creative practitioners and design students. young&restless does not limit itself regarding the audience it wishes to reach and will definitely be honoured to receive appreciation from anyone who works hard but makes the time to read and enjoy art and design.
